Fireplace Inspection

We inspect your chimney according to the National Fire Prevention Code book 211 and the Chimney Safety Institute of America. We also use the NFPA code book 54 on gas.
We inspect your chimney for structural soundness, fire code violations and problems that may come up in the future due to the condition of your chimney today.

Bird and Animal Prevention

Birds and Animals are notorious for getting into your chimney and making it their home.
We can support you in animal prevention by ensuring your chimney has a guard and cap to eliminate birds and critters from entering the home.

No Mess Chimney Cleaning

When we come to your home to clean your fireplace we will lay a heavy canvas drop cloth in front of your fireplace. This is our work space area. This helps to protect the floors and rugs from any material that may fall outside the fireplace opening.
We will also bring a large vacuum system that is used to control any dust migration. We also use it to pick up any debris around the fireplace opening. Our goal is to leave your home the way we found it.

Chimney Cap Repair or Replacement

If you do not have a chimney cap on your chimney you need one. They keep water out of the chimney system. Caps keep animals and birds out of the chimney and keep sparks and embers contained inside of the chimney. If you should ever have a chimney fire the sparks and burning creosote are kept inside of your chimney and not out onto your roof or in your yard. We sell stainless steel or copper chimney caps. Our caps can also help to prevent downdrafts into the chimney that would create a smoking problem.

Water Proofing and Leak Repair

Water entering your chimney system or water penetration is the biggest cause of chimney deterioration and it can cause major damage to walls, joist and the living areas inside your home around your fireplace. Water entering your chimney can leak out into the walls of your home and start mold build up inside the walls which can lead to health problems. Even unused chimneys can be a problem.

Flashing/Relining and Repair

The area where the chimney comes thru the roof is called the flashing. Any water that enters through this area will find its way down the chimney and get between the wall boards of your living area. You will not see the water until it works its way through the walls and exposes itself in the living area. In the meantime mold can build up between the walls causing health problems.
